The course

Your race. Your paradise.

”Wow, it's so nice!”

“Oh, how beautiful this is!”
A run in Paradiset nature reserve is full of exclamations. We can't seem to stop telling each other how beautiful it is here. The forest in Paradiset–Rudan has for a long time been one of our absolute favorites to run in. We often long for it. So now, we are very happy and proud to be able to invite you to Paradiset.

With start and finish on the large grassy areas between the two Rudansjöarna in Haninge, the 26 km course takes you into the wonderful. The path is a bit tricky, roots and stones require focus and active feet. The climbing is modest, but it is clearly there.

Your first water hole on the way is the energy station Riddartorp after 6 km. Then we set off across the marsh by Lake Öran and head out into the real wilderness. The forest here is classified as primeval forest and the animal life is rich, not least the capercaillie thrives here.

When the inland ice retreated 10,000 years ago, Tornberget was the first of Södertörn to emerge from the Litorina Sea (the primal mother of the Baltic Sea). Lake Tornbergsjön is a remnant of this ice sea. Tornberget, with its 111 meters above sea level, is Stockholm's highest natural point. Probably you will feel something in your legs when climbing to the top. People have lived here since the Stone Age. It's not hard to understand them, it's beautiful and it's one of the quietest areas in Stockholm – what a luxury. Listen to your own breath and enjoy.

The second energy station appears at Torpet Paradiset after 16 km, when you have conquered Tornberget and a few other hills. The old croft is now a rest cabin for walkers – and runners.

Then you turn home again towards Rudan and the looming goal.
